HURRICANE KATRINA DAMAGE
Rayne suffered extensive damage at the hands of Hurricane Katrina. The historic steeple, so familiar to passers-by on St. Charles Avenue, was blown down and through the roof of the church. Repairs have since been completed and the church is again in use by the congregation.

THE DIAPASON, June 1960, with clarification by Allen Kinzey
The OUSCDB also indicates that a Moller Organ, Opus 2149, was delivered to the church in the 1910 era. That instrument is listed as a 2 manual, 3 division, 28 stop instrument. It is not known if that instrument still exists, or whether it was absorbed into the Aeolian Skinner.
